    Kymora Johnson, a standout guard for UVA Women’s Basketball and Charlottesville native, has embraced NIL opportunities to amplify her personal brand and engage with the community.

    KAM ROBINSON

    Kam Robinson, a linebacker for UVA Football and Virginia native, has used NIL opportunities to give back and grow his brand. With support from CavFutures Marketing Inc., he has fostered a long time partnership with Hilldrup. He has worked with them to host a youth football camp at Essex High School, inspiring the next generation of athletes.

     Alex and Gretchen Walsh, accomplished swimmers and Olympic medalists, have built a strong presence both in and out of the pool through thoughtful NIL partnerships. As sisters and elite athletes, they’ve worked with brands that reflect their values, focusing on sports, wellness, and lifestyle. Their podcast, Kicking It with the Walsh Sisters, offers a candid look into their experiences as student-athletes, featuring honest conversations with teammates, coaches, and fellow competitors. Through their NIL journey, the Walsh sisters are not only growing their personal brands but also using their platform to connect with the swimming community and share their perspective on life in and beyond competitive sports.

    The UVA Women’s Basketball team is deepening its community ties through impactful NIL partnerships with local businesses. In a collaboration with The Melting Pot, players teamed up with the restaurant to highlight shared values of teamwork and connection. Separately, the team partnered with Timberwood Taphouse to host a meet-and-greet event, giving fans the opportunity to interact with players in a fun, casual setting. The event reflected the program’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and building meaningful relationships with supporters. Together, these partnerships showcase how the team is using NIL to not only elevate their brand, but also give back to the Charlottesville community that stands behind them.
